2000 underwater metal detector

Elsec has more than 30 years expertise in the design and manufacture of metal detectors and supplies a range of units for use either underwater or on land. Elsec was the world's first ever company to put the pulse induction technique of metal detection into commercial use as early as the 1960s. Continued development over the years has led to the introduction of the Elsec Underwater Metal Detector Type 2000. This highly practical, reliable and easy-to-use metal detector is ideal for use by professional and amateur divers alike.

Features

Tough Non-corrosive Construction
The Model 2000 is manufactured for heavy use using PVC high-pressure mouldings. It is no coincidence that the 2000 is used by hire companies, other metal detectors just don't last.

Enhanced Sensitivity
Using the pulse induction technique, the Model 2000 is able to offer a much higher level of sensitivity than most other underwater metal detectors on the market today. It detects both ferrous and non-ferrous objects, even in high concentrations of metallic deposits, at considerable distances.

Ease-of-Use
The Elsec 2000 has been designed with ease-of-use very much in mind. You do not even have to switch it on or off - immersion into water automatically does that for you. It is also easy to control, being neutrally buoyant, and can be used to a depth of approximately 200 meters.

Rechargeable Batteries
The Elsec Underwater Metal Detector incorporates rechargeable Batteries, which allow continuous use for up to ten hours. A solid state indicator lets you know how much 'life' the batteries have left.

Three Methods of Indication
When a metal object is located, your attention is attracted in three different ways a graduated illuminated Meter, a solid state flashing indicator and a variable frequency bone conductor earphone.

Reliability
Elsec has used the very latest electronic components in the manufacture of its Underwater Metal Detector to ensure first class reliability and ease-of maintenance. Should anything go wrong, then the printed circuit board can be quickly and easily changed on-site.

Detection Ranges
The detection range of all metal detectors depends upon the size, type and shape of the metal. The following table gives an indication of the detection distances achieved by the Elsec Metal Detector Type 2000:
