Older versions are as follows:

This version will NOT work with Windows NT or Windows

Version 3.0 for use with
Windows 98 and Windows 2000
This version may work with other Windows
versions but has not yet been tested with them
RView version 3.2 for use with Windows 95, 98, NT4 and NT2000

If your browser asks you what to do with a file then you should save it to disk.
The latest drivers for the Extended Access infrared adaptors can be obtained from http://www.extendedsystems.com/
The XP drivers for the USB adaptor also work with the serial adaptor.
The firmware version for a 764 can be checked by noting the display when the unit is turned on which will be something like:

In this case the firmware version is 1.8
The software is supplied as a self extracting archive. The archive is PKZIP compatible for easy virus checking.
To install:
If the downloaded file has appeared on your desktop then simply double-click on it and follow the instructions.
Otherwise use Windows Explorer to locate and run the downloaded file.
